Jack Osbourne defends plans for AI Ozzy Osbourne
Jack Osbourne has defended his family’s plans to create an artificial intelligence-powered avatar of Ozzy Osbourne.
Earlier this year, the media personality and his mother, Sharon Osbourne, unveiled plans for a digital version of the beloved Black Sabbath singer, who died aged 76 last July. [...] They said they are working with Hyperreal and Proto Hologram to create an avatar of Ozzy that will “answer in his own voice,” and will “talk back” when spoken to. [...] Speaking to Jamie Laing on a Great Company podcast episode released on Wednesday (21 October), the media personality, 40, said: “By creating this digital fingerprint, you ultimately will own the digital IP and image of that person... It's no different than saying, ‘I wanna own images of my father. I wanna own his intellectual property.’”
